February 2026 Customer Order Analysis: Q4 2025 vs Q1 2026 Ordering Trends

Thank you to all of our valued customers who placed orders with HP Design during the final quarter of 2025 and the opening quarter of 2026. As we do each period, we want to share insights about ordering trends so you can see how your business compares to what we're experiencing across our customer base.

Overall Order Activity

Looking at the patterns between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, we saw some interesting shifts in ordering behavior. The final quarter of last year (October-December) showed strong activity, which is typical for our industry. As we moved into the first quarter of 2026, we've seen a more moderate pace.

It's important to note that Q1 is still in progress, so we're comparing a complete quarter to a partial one. However, the trend does show a typical seasonal pattern we often see in the corporate gifts and awards industry—Q4 tends to be our busiest period with year-end corporate gifting, holiday promotions, and companies placing orders before fiscal year-end.

What Our Customers Are Ordering

Breaking down orders by product category reveals some interesting patterns about what's resonating with our customers:

Top Product Categories:

  • Custom Closing Gifts – Leading our order mix, reflecting the continued strength in the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market
  • Awards and Plaques – Strong demand for corporate recognition programs
  • Tabletop & Serving – Premium entertaining pieces remain popular for both corporate and personal gifting
  • Tumblers – Consistent performer for branded merchandise and personalized gifts
  • Custom Cutting Boards – A favorite for both closing gifts and corporate appreciation

Other Popular Items:

  • Custom signage continues to show healthy demand
  • Engraving services (both standalone and as add-ons) remain a core request
  • Water bottles, cake toppers, and acrylic signs demonstrate the diverse needs of our customer base
  • Embroidery services are gaining traction as we've expanded this capability

Trends We're Seeing

The variety in our order mix tells an interesting story. While corporate awards and closing gifts anchor our business, we're seeing customers increasingly mix premium everyday items (cutting boards, tumblers, tabletop pieces) with traditional recognition products. This suggests that businesses are looking for more diverse gifting options that feel both personal and professional.

Custom signage and engraving services continue to be requested across multiple product categories, reinforcing that personalization remains the key differentiator our customers value most.

Looking Ahead

As we continue through Q1 2026, we're optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Historically, we see momentum build as we move toward spring events, graduation season, and corporate recognition programs. The real estate market in the Dallas-Fort Worth area continues to show strength, which bodes well for our custom closing gifts line.

We're also seeing increased interest in our B2B wholesale programs, with several new partnerships in development. Our investment in premium packaging and our expanded embroidery capabilities are positioning us well to serve customers looking for high-touch, fully customized solutions.
